Jerry
We bought Jerry form Ireland as an untouched 4 year old and after spending all winter breaking him we then competed Intro and Pre Novice during the spring before selling him on to Lotti. Read what she said about him.
I got Jerry from Helen in July 2007, when he was 5, Jerry was my first horse and a big step up from a 14.1 pony! In our first summer together we did pony club, riding club and lots of schooling finishing off the season with a number of Hunter trials, at which we went clear every time.
In 2008, our first year of British Eventing we did 3 Intros starting at Richmond in May (where we were placed 8th) to get our confidence and then 2 Pre-Novice events – Draycott in August where we were placed 4th and Aske 7th in September. We also qualified for the Riding Club Horse Trails Nationals and were placed in the Pony Club Area Horse trials.
This year we will start again with Pre-Novice and hopefully progress to Novice later in the year. We have already schooled over Novice cross country fences at which Jerry has been excellent! Jerry’s best discipline is definitely cross country (where he has never had a jumping fault!!)
Jerry has been a fantastic horse for me – he was broken to have great manners, which makes him a very easy horse to handle on the ground and look after and he loves people and attention, and I cant wait for this season! This season Lottie has had a great season Novice finishing 6th Bishop Burton going Double Clear

I have had a great time with skylo. He has competed sucessfuly in every competition that he has done includingn national team and national individual events. In 2008 we took part in numerous area events for the riding club in showjumping and cross-country. We then qualified for the national team showjumping at the Hartpury arena (finishing 5th), Trailblazers national finals (which he came 8th out of 109 competitors). This year Skylo has qualified for: BSPS winter and summer champs, Trailblazers national finals and the national finals for riding club eventing. I'am so proud of him as recently skylo won the yorkshire horse of the year champion for working hunter!
Ozzy and Emma have had a successful season WHP and BE 100 Eventing doing a super Double Clear at Witton .Emma has had Ozzy since October 08 and is hoping to go Novice 2010
Hi Helen Thought I would drop you a line to say Archie has settled in really well. He is a pleasure to do and really is a family horse, I never see Chris as he is always out on his "oss". They went cubbing on Saturday with the York & Ainsty South and I was very proud of both of them. Archie travelled happily in the middle of the field mainly at a trot - perfect! Loose horses etal did not phase him. Chris is now hooked and looking forward to kitting himself out for the season. New saddle arrives on Friday. Big ask I know - can you please find another of the same stamp? I have attached some photos. Kind regards Chloe
Monty We bought Monty from Ireland and he spent all summer hacking and having fun at my sisters before selling him to Mark Ramsden 12 from Ramsgill. Mark had lost all confidence in his general riding and jumping . He desperately wanting to go hunting and Monty has given him that confidence . He has a great relationship with the pony and they are having fun hunting and jumping .

Hi Helen
Just thought you might like to hear how Ted is doing.... Yesterday he won the dressage (Tickled Pink Dressage Show at Richmond) with 44 in the class. We were amazed. That was his fifth dressage outing, and he's been in the rosettes each time.
He did the Camp Hill ODE a month ago, and came ninth. He loves XC and has a very bold jump. Rachel will do the open at the Camp Hill Hunter Trial later this month. He's settled very well and is a sweetie to look after, loves lots of attention. We love him!
Regards, Jackie.

Hi Helen, These are pics at Blair Atholl He qualified for this by winning his WHP class at Keith and then went on to win the Overall WH Championship. Had him officially measured as 150cm. The day before (poor wee man) he went double clear BE90 at Hendersyde. He has since completed his first BE100 at Aswanley. Had 2 poles down SJ and went clear Xc - with style. One of the best going through the water all day. Delighted you are using him on your success story page Take Care Shona
Richard and Blondie
Richard realises his BE ambitions riding at Intro and PNovice . 2010 Richard has won and placed BE90 REGULARLY
Richard Watson is an amateur ODE rider who has been happily , and safely , competing at B E affilliated Intro & pre-Novice level events since 2004 with two smashing Irish Sports Horses which he keeps at his yard near Thirsk . He has been tooled up and trained to event by Helen Bell more or less from scratch . Richard was just past the first flush of youth when he started riding , and for a few years hunted hard every winter & hacked round Ribston Park every summer . When he asked Helen to train him to compete at ODEs he had never done anything like that and his horses were not suitable . Blondie , the eye-catching skewbald Helen sourced from ireland . Timmy , the grey with illustrious show-jumping grand-parents was picked out & bought in Ireland also under Helens guidance . Both horses have required and at the same time afforded an advance in Richard's riding skills but here Helen has helped with training sessions which Richard still attends regularly as he seeks to progress and improve . Fo him to go Novice is now an achievable goal rather than a dream .
Hello Helen,
It has been a year since we bought Quincey from you and I thought you might like to see a couple of pictures. Emily has competed at local level this summer and has a board of rosettes in her bedroom. He has been a fantastic pony for her, absolutely reliable, totally bombproof with enough scope for her to grow in confidence and performance. He was a star at PC Camp this summer.
I have have broken him to drive as well - was he broken to harness in Ireland I wonder - he was so good to lunge, long rein and put to. Emily has great fun free-lunging him which he really enjoys.
He has proven to be a spectacular family pony: in the school, on the road, out hacking, on the beach, in harness and at shows. I know that he has the potential to perform at much higher levels than he has done so far, but both he and Emily enjoy life together and I feel that is more important than justing proving his worth in the show ring.
I shall try and get some good xc jumping pictures to send for your site sometime.
Many thanks - I don't need to recommend you to anyone as Quincey does that for you!
